Special Lecture, "Implementation Sciences Research: Concepts and Practices"

Professor Dr Rohit Ramaswamy from Gillings School of Global Public Health,University of North Carolina USA delivered his special lecture entitled, "Implementation Sciences Research: Concepts and Practices" to Dr PH and MPH International students and Faculty professors the afternoon of August 15, 2018 at the Kanda Vathanophas Room, Floor 1, Building 4, Faculty of Public Health, Phaya Thai Campus, Mahidol University. Beforehand he discussed collaboration and partnership between the two institutes with FPH-MU Dean Associate Professor Dr Chanuantong Tanasugarn, Associate Professor Dr Mathuros Tipayamongkholgul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Networking, Associate Professor Dr Nawarat Suwannapong, Sr Advisor to the Dean and Associate Professor Dr Punyarat Lapvongwatana, Director of the Dr PH Program from 10:30 am to noon. Dr Ramaswamy is a professor specialized in Public Health Leadership and MCH and director of the UNC/RTI Consortium for Implementation Science He aims to facilitate collaborations among UNC and RTI scientists, practitioners and policy- makers with the goal of advancing dissemination and implementation science through research, education and policy. He deals with an array of social, clinical and public health issues including health promotion and disease prevention, maternal, child, and family health, communicable diseases, chronic diseases and their related risk factors and health and public health system organization and policy His achievements include improving clinical and operational practices in tertiary hospitals in Ghana, improving local capacity of district level staff in Kenya and integrating mental health service delivery in India.
