The 2018 Kyoto Global Conference for Rising Public Health Researchers

FPH-MU Dean, Associate Professor Dr Chanuantong Tanasugarn participated in the 2018 Kyoto Global Conference for Rising Public Health Researchers, hosted by Kyoto University School of Public Health under the theme, "Implementation Research and Science for Health for All". The network comprised of 7 higher educational institutions such as London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of Singapore, National Taiwan University, University of Malaya and three universities in Thailand.
Associate Professor Dr Mathuros, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Networking, Assistant Professor Dr Piyatida Khajornchaikul and Lecturer Dr Vallerut Pobkeeree jointly attended the conference from December 3 to 4, 2018 held on the Yoshida Campus.
The keynote speakers included Dr Sarah Louise Barber, Director of WHO Kobe Centre and Dr Makoto Suematsu, Director of the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED). The conference had no registration fees.
Additionally four post conference workshops had been organized during December 5-6, 2018 by world class scholars such as Professor Toshi A. Furukawa, Professor Mitchell Feldman, and Professor Ian Roberts
