MOA Signing and Two-Day Training: Community/Primary Health Care Delivery

Associate Professor Dr Mathuros Tipayamongkholgul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Networking, together with International Relations Unit staff welcomed the head of the delegation, Director Mr Ir Agustian Ipa, MKes, Lecturers Ros Rahmawat, Djuhadiah Saadong, Andi Syntha Ida, Mr. Herman and 45 students from the Institute of Health Science, Makassar Health Polytechnic, Indonesia attending a two-day training on "Community/ Primary Health Care Delivery" 9 to 10 July 2018 at the Phaya Thai Campus. Following the warm welcome Ms Chenchira Nathathong, Head of the International Relations and Networking Unit presented an introduction to the FPH-MU and organized the ubiquitous group photo. The participants spent their time studying evidence-based midwifery in the community and programs to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity rates. They actively joined in classroom discussions and visited the Bureau of Health Promotion Department of Health, MOPH and the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health. After presenting their learnings to and receiving feedback from Associate Professor Dr Chanuantong Tanasugarn, Dean of FPH-MU the participants received her Closing Remarks and were awarded certificates for successfully completing their short course training. To conclude the two-day program, collaborative activities were agreed upon and a formal MOA was signed by both parties to establish continuous cooperative events.
