Collaboration with China Medical University (CMU), Taiwan

The Faculty of Public Health (FPH), Mahidol University (MU) hosted a meeting between MU and a delegation from CMU on October 31st, 2018 at the Surin Osathanugrah Room, Sataranasukwisit Building Phaya Thai Campus The CMU's delegation and MU representative from MU Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospitaland, MU Faculty of Pharmacy and FPH Faculty members were warmly welcomed by Associate Professor Dr. Chanuantong Tanasugarn Dean, Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University followed by an overview of CMU by the CMU team consisting of Professor Liang-Yo Yang, Dean of the Office of Global Affairs, Associate Professor Hung-Rong Yen, Director of the Research Center for Chinese Herbal Medicine, Associate Professor Lai Ted Weita, the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences and Translational Medicine Research Center, Assistant Professor Ro-Ting Lin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Taiwan Occupational Hygiene Association and Associate Professor Dr Hsiang-Wen Lin, Associate Dean, College of Pharmacy. After a discussion on mutual research interests, collaborative activities and scholarship interview an open discussion was held between the CMU Team and the MU team. The FPH Team was also joined by Associate Professor Prapat Wanitpongpan, Assistant Dean for International Relations, MU Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Dr Somnuk Bunsupa, Pharmacology Department, MU Faculty of Pharmacy and Mr Meng Shin Shiao, Assistant Dean for International Relations and Mr. Puwit Wantayakun, International Relations Officer, MU Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital. Global health promotion and health literacy programs, exchange programs and ongoing research projects were prioritized for future collaborative activities.
