Faculty of Public Health welcome UNIMAS for Global study

FPH-MU Dean, Associate Professor Dr Chanuantong Tanasugarn, Associate Professor Dr Mathuros, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Networking and Lecturer Vanvisa Sresumatchai, Biostatistics Department warmly welcomed the Professor Dr Rasitam Razitasham Safii, Head of Department, Community Medicine & Public Health Department and 13 Doctoral Public Health student from UNIMAS the afternoon of 7 January 2019. Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), located in Samarahan Sarawak, hopes to study the set-up of the Faculty, learn about its public health role in the Thailand health care system especially related to the One Health Concept during their four-day visit to Bangkok. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at UNIMAS started its first batch of medical students in 1995 and the Department of Community Medicine and Public Health was also established in the same year. The department involves in the teaching and learning programs for medical students at under- and postgraduate levels. It also supports part of a nursing teaching program.
