The 8th International Conference on Work Environment and Cardiovascular Diseases
On August 20, 2025 Professor Dr. Piyamitr Sritara, President of Mahidol University, presided over the opening ceremony of The 8th International Conference on Work Environment and Cardiovascular Diseases. During the ceremony, he received a Recognition Award in acknowledgment of his clinical excellence and outstanding academic contributions in the field of cardiovascular diseases.
Associate Professor Dr. Sarawut Thepanondh, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health at Mahidol University, delivered a welcome address to the distinguished guests and participants. Professor Dr. Jian Li, Chair of Scientific Committee Chair of ICOH-CVD from the University of California Los Angeles, USA, delivered a special lecture during the opening ceremony.
The conference featured a distinguished keynote speaker, Dr. Yuka Ujita, Senior Occupational Safety and Health Specialist from ILO DWT-BKK, who presented on the dimensions of safe and healthy work environments in our evolving workplace landscape entitled "Safe and Healthy Working Environment in the Changing World of Work" This event also included academic presentations, a Steps Count activity, and health-focused exhibition booths. This academic conference aims to serve as a vital platform for knowledge exchange and experience sharing, while fostering collaboration among networks and participants. This conference seeks to establish guidelines, support preventive measures, and address workplace environmental issues and occupational factors that contribute to cardiovascular diseases.
