On 22 May 2023, from 08:30 hrs - 09:00 hrs, Mahidol University, Faculty of Public Health (MUPH), represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarawut Thepanondh, Dean, alongside students and administrative members, gathered in Surin Osathanugrah meeting room with staff and students from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW), USA, represented by Prof. Dr. James Conway, Associate Director for Health Sciences, UW. The occasion marked the official start of the exchange program entitled, "Community Health & Diseases in Thailand, Field Experience 2023." This program will give the students an opportunity to spend the next two weeks in Bangkok and Kanchanaburi province and partake in activities to enhance their understanding of public health in Thailand in both urban and rural settings. Through guided cultural excursions, the students will develop critical insights in global health by comparing the American and Thai public health systems. This year's theme will focus on the one health approach on health prevention and promotion.
