Virtual Field Study on the health system and innovation during COVID-19 between the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University and Kanagawa University of Human Services, Japan

The Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University (PHMU), Thailand and School of Health Innovation, Kanagawa University of Human Services (KUHS), Japan continued a virtual field study started from August 6, 2021. This is a collaboration between two universities. On August 13th 2021; the program was scheduled for a presentation from students from both universities. Four presentations were presented by both universities; two from each university. Following the presentation, an interesting discussion session was conducted.

Following the presentation, a lecture session was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Don Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III on the topic of the global policy on COVID-19 prevention and management. Assoc. Prof. Don Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III is associated with a number of organisations such as Harvard University and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. The student had a series of interest on the topic presented by Assoc. Prof. Don Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III.

The program was also attended by Deputy Dean for International Relations and Networking Dr. Orawan Kaewboonchoo, Prof. Nakahara Shinji from KUHS and professors from both universities. 8 students from KUHS and 12 students from MU attended the program. The program is scheduled every Friday for 5 weeks starting from August 6th 2021 to September 3rd 2021. The program is designed with lectures and presentations from the students.

It is a joint program and coordinated by collaboration between MUPH and KUHS. Professor Nakahara Shinji, KUHS and Associate Professor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sukhontha Kongsin, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Warapone Satheannoppakao and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarunya Benjakul, MUPH facilitated the program.
