a special lecture on “Roles and Functions, Services Provided, Innovation and Best Practice” at Ban Bongti Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital

Professors and students from the training program “Community Health & Diseases in Thailand – FIELD EXPERIENCE”, a collaboration between the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, and the University of Wisconsin–Madison, USA, conducted a field visit and attended a special lecture on “Roles and Functions, Services Provided, Innovation and Best Practice” at Ban Bongti Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital, Kanchanaburi Province.

The visit aimed to enhance learning and foster knowledge exchange among Thai and international students and faculty members.

After the lecture, the students were divided into four groups to study specific public health issues in the community:
1. Group 1 – Malaria incidence and prevention strategies
2. Group 2 – Child growth, nutritional status, and local management approaches
3. Group 3 – Adolescent pregnancy: maternal healthcare and teenage pregnancy prevention
4. Group 4 – Non-communicable diseases (NCDs): prevention and management strategies

These activities took place in the Ban Bongti Subdistrict area of Kanchanaburi Province and aimed to enrich learning and promote the exchange of knowledge among both Thai and international students and faculty members.
